NFL Picks Week 16

Last week was the first real stinker of the year for me, I went 4-12. I am now 121-100 on the season. There are so many crappy teams right now in the NFL that you don't know which ones are even trying at this point. Oakland will probably have more quality wins than most teams that make the playoffs. They have beaten Cincy, Philly, Pittsburgh, and Denver, I cannot figure them out.

Ten -4.5

I really like SD in the playoffs. I have said it before and I will say it again, they are a matchup nightmare. Floyd, Jackson and Gates give Rivers three guys he can throw it up to. This is the only team in the league that will throw a lot of deep balls NOT looking to just draw flags. Tennessee is desperate in this one, but SD gets on the national stage so infrequently that I think they will be up for this game.

Seattle is so bad, I cannot take them on the road. GB needs this game. At the time of this game, the playoff picture will still be very blurry, by the end of the day the picture should be much clearer. GB controls its own destiny by winning out, they really need to just focus on winning this game.

I have no feel for Oakland. Maybe at this point I will just alternate going with or against Oakland each week. They surprised last week so I think they will disappoint this week.

I am not sure how I feel about Cincy doing in a game they actually need to win. There is still some emotianal hangover from the Henry death and Charles give KC a little spark.

The Packers bust Brian Brohm gets the start here. Unless somebody is impersonating Brohm in this game, I give the Bills no shot. Brohm was absolutely unbearably horrible for the Packers. He was so bad that even Ted Thompson gave up on him midway through his second season, something Thompson never does with guys he drafts.

This game is a tough one to predict. I could see a lot of possibilities. Denver has to be desperate at this point. Philly still has a shot at the two seed. In the end I will take the team that is familiar with playoff football.

I do not know why I think this, but at some point Chicago has to play decent. If they play badly this will be an ugly scene on national tv. A blowout loss here and Lovie Smith will get fired.
